* Dec 18th (Friday) from 5:30-9 pm in Orange County: The Crossing Church hosts a holiday outreach event to the homeless of Orange County (~800 people bussed from all of OC), the Friday before Christmas. This year the healthfaire will be. Last year, we started having a healthfaire along with the outreach event- offering free diabetes, hypertension, dental, and eye screening. We are looking for volunteers to help in the healthfaire and also looking for private practioners who are willing to offer free gift certificates for medical or dental services. *January 26 – 28th Michael McLaughlin, MDiv., area director for CMDA is speaking at various campuses on a tour through Southern California. A graduate meeting is being planned as well. TBA.
*February 5 – 7th 2010 Mike Budincich is a chiropractor/pilot in Pasadena who flies to Baja often to help the poor. We have airplanes signed up and need volunteers to fill the planes. 2 dentists and 2 chiropractors signed up, need two MDs/PAs especially a female for pellvic and female issues too. *February 12 – 14th 2010 - Pre-med students in the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at UC San Diego are going to Mexico on a medical trip. They need healthcare professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, etc) to help with their outreach clinics in Ensenada. They leave on Friday morning, 2/12 and will return Sunday afternoon 2/14. Housing is in the town of San Vicente and facilities include warm showers and flushing toilets. This trip is sponsored by Mexican Medical Ministries. *March 20 - May 1 - Dr. Mike Roberts is planning to take medical/dental teams to Guatemala during the spring breaks of the UCLA and USC students. March 20 thru March 27th, is the spring break for those at UCLA. April 24 thru May 1, during spring break for those at USC. We will be serving in Guatemala--in two different locations with churches and mission agencies--and will offer primary medical and dental care. We will be joined by Christian colleagues in Guatemala. Cost will be $1600, with at least half due in early January. * March 26th and 27th, 2010 - Korean American Missions Health Conference is being held at Bethel Korean Church in Irvine, CA. Korea is being blessed with an explosion of mission enthusiasm. American Koreans are likewise blessed to have great medical and dental skills and a strong sense of the importance of missions in their lives. This conference hosts some of the leading mission experts comparable to our own September missions conference.

* May 27-29, 2010 - Christian Community Health Fellowship at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a great event for people interested in serving Christ through health care among the poor. The website is www.cchf.org. CCHF is a wonderful organization unifying and networking Christian healthcare facilities and workers.
* Spring 2010 Campus Leadership Conference. The Western States Director of CMDA, Michael MacLaughlin, MDiv. will be hosting. There's plenty of network, fellowship and worship. We're going to have plenty of workshops and worship, lunch together, and most importantly, we'll have plenty of time for networking and fellowship among the students from all the campuses. We are hoping to have representatives from every campus from UCLA to San Diego, and Irvine to Nevada. We are tentatively moving this meeting to Orange County.
* July 9-10, 2010 Short term mission trip to Ensenada, Baja, Mexico. This will be our 14th trip to the area where we serve the medically needy and poor. * Mid Summer, 2010 Good Samaritan Medical Dental Ministries continues their annual services to Viet Nam. July 22-August 8, 2009 Good Samaritan Medical-Dental Ministries will be embarking on its 11th annual summer mission to Viet Nam. Each year GSMDM treats approximately 4,000 patients in rural areas, and performs or sponsors 40-50 surgeries, while sharing Christ's love with those we serve.
