Welcome to the CMDA Ventura County Chapter website.   We are a fellowship of Christian physicians and dentists in Ventura County, California, desiring to glorify God by:
  • living out the character of Christ in our homes, practices, community and around the world;
  • pursuing professional competence and Christ-like compassion in our daily work;
  • influencing our families, colleagues, and patients toward a right relationship with Jesus Christ;
  • advancing Biblical principles in bioethics and health to the Church and society.
Although the information presented on this website is meant for the health professional, the lay person may also find it useful by visiting our bookstore or using our link to search for a Christian doctor in your area to serve you.  Feel free to browse our webpages to see what we are all about.

Completing Your Call
A 12-month course
Preparing for God’s Next Assignment

2008 – 09 Symposium

Many doctors sense a need for change. For some, they have achieved their career goals and are ready for the next challenge. Some have grown weary of the daily grind, tired of battling insurance and HMO issues. They are ready to fully focus their time, skills, and resources on things of eternal value. Others simply want to increase their spiritual influence in the careers where God has placed them. If any of these describe you, the Completing Your Call Symposium is for you.

This 12-month course includes two weekend retreats at the CMDA Headquarters and Conference Center, attendance at the CMDA 2009 National Convention, reading assignments, monthly conference calls with authors and consultants, small group projects, and a professional assessment of your gifts and passions. The first third of the course will cover worldview; the second third, spiritual formation as it relates to fulfilling God’s call; and the third, personal application of these principles toward Completing Your Call.
